We teach you how to listen, take brave action, and bring your whole self to whatever table you're sitting at — and have an unforgettable time doing it.
We are LionHearted, LLC.
Our
SuperPowers
Courage
We didn’t choose the named LionHearted haphazardly - we know that in today’s uncertain world, it can feel risky to take bold actions or do anything new. By teaching you to be braver in a workshop setting, we help you have the courage to face whatever might come next.
Authenticity
We believe that bringing your whole self to your work empowers everyone to be and do more. We pride ourselves in aligning what we say with what we do. We love to be who we truly are and we invite you to do the same!
Empathy & Respect
When we can see through the eyes of our clients and coworkers, we not only tailor our offerings better, but we garner trust and loyalty. While it might sound “squishy”, empathy has been shown to improve workplace culture and decrease stress-related illnesses among employees.
Collaboration
When we pool our efforts, we’re able to build something better than any one of us could have done individually. To paraphrase an improv master: Don’t bring a cathedral, bring a brick…we’ll build the cathedral together.
Our professional improvisors and creatives know how to bring out the best in you and your team.
OUR PEOPLE
Karisa Bruin
Co-Founder & Lead Facilitator
Karisa is a writer, director, actor, teacher, and college professor, she brings the full depth of her creative and educational background to every workshop she leads.
She's spent her career helping people tell their stories — and she knows that the stories we tell about ourselves at work (I'm not creative, I'm not a leader, I'm not a communicator) are almost never true. She's particularly skilled at meeting people where they are and building them into who they're capable of being.
Also: she's a mom, which means she has an advanced degree in managing chaos, setting clear expectations, and relating to Gen Z.
Scott Morehead
Co-Founder & Lead Facilitator
Scott brings an energy to the room that must be experienced. Infectious, grounded, and fully present — he's the kind of facilitator who makes you forget you were nervous about a "corporate improv workshop."
His background spans professional performance, business development, and raising three young sons (he can keep up with them, which means he can definitely keep up with your team). Oh, also, he screen-tested for Saturday Night Live.
Scott's superpower is helping people realize they're already improvisers — yes, even at work.

Come to Us:
The Colorado Experience
Nestled in the San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado, Pagosa Springs is one of the most beautiful — and most underrated — destinations in the American West. When your team comes to us, you're not just getting a workshop. You're getting an experience. Imagine this: your leadership team spending two days developing real communication skills, building genuine trust, and actually enjoying each other's company — with skiing at Wolf Creek, a soak in the world's deepest hot springs, and mountain views that reset everyone's nervous system.
We handle the facilitation. You handle the memories. Our Colorado retreat packages include:
→ Custom workshop design based on your team's challenges
→ Full facilitation by our professional team → Recommendations for lodging, dining, and activities in Pagosa Springs
→ Optional add-ons: skiing at Wolf Creek, Pagosa Hot Springs, guided hikes.
Retreat packages start at $12,000 for groups of up to 25. We can adjust for larger groups.
